GUIDELINES FOR
PARTICIPATION
- ALWAYS THINK ABOUT
YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF THE TEAM!
- Treat everything and
everyone like it is for Jesus.
- Do not wear low cut tops
or sleeveless tops. Wear tops that are long enough to be tucked in. Be
conservative. (Tops do not have to be tucked in, just long enough to tuck in)
- Do not bring valuables,
no purses, no wallets, no electronics, do not take items and leave them on the
bus. Bring your ID and place it in your pocket.
- Do not bring money. Do
not give money to the men.
- Go to the bathroom before
you leave the church, restrooms are not readily available downtown.
- Do not touch your eyes,
nose, mouth, etc until you wash your hands very thoroughly. The first thing
you should do when you get home is wash your hands with hot soapy water.
- Do not go out of the
fence with out the permission of a Leader.
- Do not pray with the men
individually, always pray in groups of three. Never, Never are
women to pray with any individual without a male team member with them.
- Do all tasks with a
partner. We are a team; always have a partner.
- Do not go behind the
vehicles in the parking lot.
- Do not stand around, pull
a team together to meet and pray with the men and women. Ask them “What
is one thing I can pray for you about?” Build relationships both with
fellow team members and with the men and women on the street.
- Side hugs only.
- Always wear a nametag.
- Sit in chairs during the
sermon.
- Always leave the parking
lot cleaner than it was when we got there.
- If working with food,
wear gloves.
- Don’t let it be “us” and
“them”.
- If you are asked a
question and don’t know the answer send them to a Leader. The leaders to ask
questions of are: Don Landy, Amy Signaigo or Jim Flanders.
- Be a Blessing to
Someone!!
